Heartbreaking news: Bromley Boys author passes away

Tributes paid to beloved author Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts, the author of the bestselling book The Bromley Boys, has sadly passed away.

Dave was born in Bromley, Kent, in 1952. He was a lifelong fan of Bromley Football Club, and his book The Bromley Boys is a hilarious and heartbreaking account of the club's struggles in the lower leagues of English football.

The book was adapted into a film in 2018, starring Alan Davies. The film was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to raise the profile of Bromley Football Club.
