Five Trades Shake Up Round 1, Vikings the Busiest

Landing Spots for Remaining Top Prospects

As we prepare for the start of Round 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft, we take a look back at the trades that have already taken place.

Five trades were conducted during the first round, with the Minnesota Vikings being the most active team, making two deals. The Vikings traded up to select quarterback CJ Stroud with the 4th overall pick, sending their original 13th overall pick and a third-round pick to the Chicago Bears. They also traded down later in the first round, sending the 32nd overall pick to the New York Giants for the 46th overall pick and a fourth-round pick.

Other notable trades included the Philadelphia Eagles trading up to select wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. with the 6th overall pick, sending their 10th overall pick and a 2025 second-round pick to the Indianapolis Colts. The Pittsburgh Steelers also traded up to select defensive end Nolan Smith with the 12th overall pick, sending their 17th overall pick and a 2025 first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns.

With the remaining top prospects still on the board, we can expect more trades to take place during Rounds 2 and 3. Here is a look at some of the possible landing spots for the remaining top prospects:

  • QB Bryce Young: Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans
  • DL Will Anderson Jr.: Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots
  • CB Kelvin Banks: Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins
  • S Domani Jackson: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys
  • li>OT Cade Mays: New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Commanders
