Scuderia Ferrari and Alpine top the times in final outing of the year
Esteban Ocon sets the pace as George Russell crashes
The 2023 Formula 1 season has officially come to an end, but drivers and teams are back in action for one final time this year at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit for the post-season test.
Scuderia Ferrari's Charles Leclerc led the way on the first day of testing, setting the fastest time of the day. Esteban Ocon of Alpine was close behind in second place, while George Russell of Mercedes completed the top three.
The second day of testing saw Ocon take top spot, with Leclerc finishing second and Russell third. The Frenchman set a time of 1:23.832, which was over half a second faster than Leclerc's best lap.
Russell had a difficult day on Tuesday, crashing his Mercedes at Turn 19. The Briton was unhurt in the incident, but it brought out the red flags and ended his day early.
